Sleepdep, yes. She said your MUM so... No paraffin and blame Dunne omg good plan. Yeesh.

All essay stress-induced craziness aside, it is an amazing course. The Murder of Bridget Cleary - second year history option, and the reason I filled out my choice form IMMEDIATELY and ran back to the office last term. Along with the Magic and Superstition in Europe one. Man.

There's a book on it that tells the whole story with interesting detail on the political, social and cultural background, going with the fairy-legend lore, it's wonderful. The Burning of Bridget Cleary, by Angela Bourke. There is a copy in the library, but someone's taken it out. I just bought mine from the uni bookshop because WANT.

I just remembered we're both at sussex!
Is this a third year course?
I enjoyed the 'Heretics, Witches and Jews' history course in first year.

This year all my electives are in Philosophy.

We are! And no, second year. I really wanted to do that course last year, but my elective had to be something from a different course to mine. :(

Never done any philosophy, mind you, unless you cound the depth in which I went into attitudes to Darwinism in the first term. Is it any good?
