...Sorry, people who liked it.

I have to go watch some House now to wash the bad taste out of my mouth.

Seriously, they should have gone the Adam route from Torchwood if they rilly rilly had to play with that idea.

What in particular did you dislike? I mean, I realize there are things that are not great about it, I'm just curious as to what it was that you didn't enjoy.

The problem was that there wasn't any one particular thing. One or two issues I deal with every time I watch Torchwood. There was just... so much! Right down to Martha's Plucky Alien Pal who only existed to die saving her life. And Jenny, the one Gallifreyan who doesn't regenerate into a different body when she resurrects. And the clones who age to varying degrees in seven days.

Also, I don't understand Jenny's eyemakeup and dyed hair. That's one hell of a specialized cloning vat/whatever it was.

I think it just stretched it one step too far for me, you know? There's Doctor Who being it's silly self, and then there's being totally illogical for apparently no reason.

Nesxt week's, however, looks so awesome it should make up for everything. :D

Pretty much, yeah. Many good ideas, so badly done they might as well have not bothered. Ah well.

The "It's been a week" reveal should have been great, but it created so many plotholes for what came before that it pretty much buggered any enjoyment I got from the previous 35-30 minutes.

*Nods* That's exactly it. There was potential - even with the whole Doctor clone/daughter thing! But they pulled it off so very, very sloppily. It grated, especially since this season's been so decent so far.

I think I managed to enjoy it purely by somehow MAAAGICALLY ignoring all the plot holes and getting really into the b-storyline, i.e., the storyline about the colonization and not the one about how superfantastic soulja grrl is.

*Grins* I salute you!

Seriously, if they'd tightened it up and sorted out the plotholes, and made it, you know, less of a vehicle for the meta of the Doctor's daughter playing the Doctor's Daughter, it would have worked so much better. I hate it when Who's motives are so blindingly obvious.
