My friend who was in a coma after a being hit by a car in Africa has woken up - her closest friend went to see her, and she's off life support and opening her eyes, which is fantastic.
Reactions are the weirdest things. When it first happened, I was completely blank. On getting this news, I burst into tears and sobbed uselessly.
Hope to go see her this weekend - she's allowed visits now, from one or two people at a time.
I need to get the train in less than half an hour. Not packed. Argh.
So glad. Think I'm going to cry again.
ETA: Not going home today. Burst into tears in the car after carefully hiding the earlier breaking from parents. Instead, I'm staying, and going to see Anna in hospital tomorrow, then going back.
