!!!!!!!

You guys.

You guys, I just got back from a committee meeting for my theatre group, and heard the casting for our next panto. I get to be the Principal Boy. *Dances around the room, slapping thigh in fiendish joy*

...Again, for Americans and other deprived people: Pantomime.

Only slightly brought down by the fact that the Principal Girl? My sister. 'Cause that's not weird at all.

(The drag, you guys!)

OMG, dude, can I come? Seriously?

[identity profile] rowanberries.livejournal.com 2008-09-02 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
YES. It is the most crap and British thing ever, held in a little village hall, and they serve tea and biscuits in the interval and have a RAFFLE.

TRUTH.

I'll totally have to come on the last night or something, though, for I shall want to buy you drinks after. XD

IIIIf we can get anywhere after the getout. :S But it's not until January, so I can figure out what day would be the best - maybe even one of the earlier ones would work better, since we won't need to clear everything, and will have the day after to faff about, so people can stay at mine if getting back is an issue. (The hall is kind of out of the way, but I want an enthusiatic audience! Dammit!)

We're all ex-Theatre types, right? I call helping in the get-out then crashing the cast party and/or holding it Chez Scott.

I won't deny that all helpers at getouts are welcomed with open arms. *Grins*

I second that question. I'm guessing we'll be told where and when before it's on anyway ^_^

It took me ten minutes to stop laughing after I compiled MPR because of your segment.

*Beams*

I am very proud.

Dude, that sounds so fun! (And yeah, the sister thing is pretty weird.)

[identity profile] rowanberries.livejournal.com 2008-09-02 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, she's even more weirded out than I am. :S (Did I mention? She's also only sixteen.) But it truly is the best fun ever, and also one of those things where you can be deeply ironic and meta without breaking character, so that's something.

I'm more worried about how it'll look having our elderly evil Duke perving on her on stage.

AUGH DEAR GOD THAT'S WEIRD.

Which panto? Which panto?

[It's like you're the Fray twins. *runs*]

[identity profile] rowanberries.livejournal.com 2008-09-02 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I KNOW, HOLY CRAP. GOD.

Old Mother Hubbard. One of those new-fangled ones, but the bits I read at the audition were pretty funny.

[OOC: OMG no shut up I don't need to think on those lines. *Sticks fingers in ears*]

But you're SIBLINGS. And there's ROMANCE. And one of you's a TEENAGER.

Aaaand can you retag Nico's last with the EXACT SAME THING? I need the notification to be on my laptop.

[identity profile] rowanberries.livejournal.com 2008-09-02 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I KNOW RIGHT? I... wasn't sure how to say that in the meeting, because the director's a very old lady, and I don't think the problems even occurred to her. I didn't want to cause any heart attacks.

Also, done.
