Adiva is an evil woman
You know the drill, right?
Torchwood fandom, MPreg-verse, no money being made, warnings for... uh, swearing? Complete lack of logic?
Warning: SPOILERS for Torchwood series 2 episode 1. However, all dialogue is from my memory, and therefore probably very wrong. But the gist of it's all right. Er. Up until the whole alien baby thing.

"Well," Captain John Hart smirks. "I think you should know, your boss is sprawled out on the pave- ment..."
And his voice trails off into nothing as Jack Harkness saunters nonchalantly into view, unarmed - as if he needs to be with four guns ready and very willing to fire if he gives the word - and extremely smug.
"That's good," Hart continues, visibly and audibly shaken, "That's very good, you could make a bomb, act like that, you... All right, how'd you do it?"
Jack rests his elbows comfortably on the railing, looking down at his ex-lover almost cheerfully.
"I can't die," he says, in a matter-of-fact voice.
John twitches, then tries a smile. "No, but really. How did you do that?"
"No matter how hard you try," Jack says, with emphasis. "I. Can't. Die. Ever." He smiles cheerily, savouring the look on the other man's face. It's scared, paranoid, confused... young. Jack hates to feel old.
It's possibly that which makes him say what he does next. Possibly it's that he hurt the others; poisoned Gwen, shot Owen, hurt Tosh, threatened Ianto. Possibly it's just being a nasty bastard, when you get right down to it.
"But don't worry," he says, with a smile that's kind unless you know him, "The baby's just fine."
He isn't disappointed. John Hart's eyes nearly fall out of his head, the devices he was messing around with lying forgotten behind him. Unnoticed, Ianto begins edging round to try and remove them. The Time Agent's eyes go to Gwen, upright and clear-eyed despite the poison.
"Not her," says Jack, feeling happier about the whole situation than he has in... well, ever.
Toshiko gets eyed next, and she gives Hart a look so scathing it could flay someone used to her usual gentle demeanor to the bone. Ianto, retrieved alien artefacts in hand, backs up behind the protective line of Gwen and Owen with an edged smile that should have been sweet.
"No, Captain John," he says brightly. Jack keeps quiet, having argued this bit out in the SUV on the way. "It turns out that Jack was the most fecund of the team-" (Jack winces, and bites his tongue. That hadn't been talked about in the SUV, but he supposes he'd had it coming.) "-And he's the one expecting the happy event. Really, we're all quite shocked at your lack of consideration for a potential new life."
Ianto draws to an understatedly gleeful close, and there is a resounding silence.
'John' goes slowly but decidedly pinkish green.
"...You fucking bastard," he wheezes eventually. "You did this just- I don't know how, but if you can come back from the fucking grave, you can do this, you did it just to hurt me." His hands hover near the guns on each hip, checked only by the degree of intent visible in Gwen, Toshiko and Owen's eyes. "It- It's sick."
"Oh, now, Captain Hart," says Jack, breezily and brutally. "That's no way to be supportive. I'm delicate in my current condition, you know."
"...G- Just an- Aargh!" manages John, wild-eyed and twitching.
Ianto and Gwen move in swiftly, and with a couple of clicks, Jack's former colleague is handcuffed securely. Not that it makes much difference, as all he seems able to do is stare at Jack's abdomen and tremble with quiet hysteria. They haul him off to the cells with little resistance, allowing Owen to sit with a grimace, and Tosh to go off in search of a cold flannel for her nose.
Jack himself simply arches his spine painfully, feeling the newly-restored vertebrae shift with a series of quiet pops. "You know," he remarks to the base at large. "I actually feel quite happy about this whole pregnancy thing after seeing his face."
"You see?" replies Gwen as she reappears from the cells, beaming as she puts her cuffs away in a drawer. "I knew you'd get used to the idea."
"So you did," Jack says benignly, grinning at Ianto rolling his eyes behind Gwen's head. "And I think I've even decided on a name. What do you all think of John for a boy?"
